Swansea or UTP   

    University is an institution of higher education and research which grants academic degrees in a variety of subjects. The word university is derived from the Latin ‘universitas magistrorum et scholarium’, which roughly means "community of teachers and scholars". Now, if there choices between studying in oversea that is Swansea and studying in local university that is Institute of Technology Petronas ( UTP ), I will choose to study in local university at UTP. The following paragraph will illustrate why I choose local university based on comfortable, special and cost. 

          Firstly, it is comfortable, peaceful and safe when studying in Malaysia.Malaysia is one of the safest and most political stable countries in the world with a relatively low crime rate and the country is free from most natural disasters which makes it an attractive country to live in. The weather in Malaysia is sunny and rainy all year without extreme cold or hot weather conditions making the weather easily adaptable. In 2011, Malaysia was ranked 19th most peaceful country out of 153 countries.

          Then, when studying in Malaysia especially UTP,there are multi-ethnic nation with vast variety of cultures that we can see.Malaysia is a multi-racial country, the many races live harmoniously together, merging the various cultures into one unique culture of our own. During your stay here,not only will you learn the knowledge from text books,but also will learn first hand how to live with other races peacefully. This a priceless skill to acquire.

         Moreover, the cost makes me still want to stay studying in local university. The cost of living for international students to study in Malaysia could be as low as RM11,000. As such, the low living cost besides the cheaper tuition fee would appeal to you in terms of great savings of education cost when you choose to study in Malaysia. The city of Kuala Lumpur offers you a high quality lifestyle at a low cost, compared to many other metropolitan cities in the world.

          The conclusion is there are many benefits when studying in local university compare to university in oversea based on comfortable, special and cost. We should proud to have a famous university in world such as UTP.
