22Feb, Tronoh : A third-year Mechanical Engineering Student was dead when helding an exhibition in UTP, a prominent private engineering and technology university, 350km northern of Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. It happened when the student, Akmal Hamzah, 20, was demonstrating a drift scene when suddenly the brake applied was not functioning. Eyewitness, Nora Farah, 19, who was watching the accident said that the car got out of control when heading a sharp corner and crashed the trees at the roadside.
An ambulance came after 10 minutes the accident was happened but the victim was found dead on the way to the hospital. Further investigation was held by the local polices and came up with an evidence that the brake was out of fluid. The funeral will be held today while the UTP’s committee is given a week off.
