INTELLIGENT STUDENT MEETS DEATH ON GROUND FLOOR

8 Mar, Tronoh – A female student was found dead on the ground floor of Village 5 Hostel in PETRONAS University of Technology (UTP), a prominent private engineering and technology university located 350 km northern of Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Her body was found lying on the floor by a female student, Sasha Ali who was on her way to the lecture.

            Police was called immediately after the fellow of Village 5 got the report of the incident. A few students said that they heard the sound of the police car around 9.00 a.m. The scene was then blocked to hinder other people from entering. The police did some investigations and a few people were asked questions regarding the incident. Amira Latif, a Chemical Engineering third year student who stays on the second floor said that she heard a loud sound like an enormous thing hit the ground, meanwhile, Halima Jaafar, a Petroleum Engineering final year student who lives in the fourth floor said that she heard some screaming but it was ignored as she thought that the scream was from the female students playing around.

            After a few hours of searching and investigating, the police said that the victim committed suicide and fell down from the fifth floor. The causes of death were believed to be because of stress and pressure in life. According to the victim’s best friend, Lily Allen, her name is Sarah Parker, a final year Petroleum Geoscience student, who is well known among the students and lecturers because of her outstanding performance in her academics.  We were told that Sarah was in the Dean’s List for every semester during her three years of study in UTP, but shockingly she failed for one of her subjects in the last exam.

            Nevertheless, further investigation will be made as the police found bruises on her neck and arms. She might hurt herself before committing suicide but it could also be signs of murder. Her friends said that there are a few people who are jealous of her success. Five suspects have been identified and will be investigated further. Sarah Parker’s family was informed and they said that Sarah will never commit suicide. Sarah’s body will be sent to the General Hospital for post mortem and further investigation.
