Statistics on Cougar Students in UTP

On 29th March 2012, a survey on number of students being a cougar has been conducted in Lecture Room 14 at 6pm in UTP. My curiosity has come to this survey. The total students that are involved were 36 people, half of them are boys and another half are girls. The number of Indians, Chinese and Malays are the same which are 12 person for each race. The survey was conducted for 10 minutes and everyone was dismissed after that.

Based on the results, i have found that most of the UTP students are not cougar which means for girls, they do not like younger boys and for boys they do not like older girls.  From 36 students being surveyed, i have found that almost one third of the students are not a cougar. Unfortunately, it is found that more than half of the people did not answer the survey correctly and some of them do not even know what the cougar means. The rest are what we’re looking for. Only four students are found cougar among 34 students

From the survey, i found that most of the students are not cougar although some of the surveys are ruined. This maybe true because most teenagers nowadays, for girls especially are attracted to much older guys because they prefer for a more matured guys who could take care of them in all aspect especially financially. For guys, they prefer to look for a more younger and childish girlfriend who they could show their power. From this result, i think students should change their mindset and perspective because nowadays pupils could not accept cougars and take them as weird people. People have feelings and they should have the freedom to love anyone, young or old.

As a conclusion, i think this survey was not a complete success, although i did gained some important informations about the students in UTP which is most of the students are not cougar. I hope in a survey to come, more students will actually know what cougar means and accept it as it is not a bad thing.
