Which One?

               Do you know the popular engineering university in Malaysia? Do you also well known the privilege university in the world, University Swansea? Do you know that which university has the only one advance oil machine among all of the other university in Malaysia? That is UTP! The University Technology Petronas which owned by the famous oil and gas company, Petronas. I will rather choose to study at UTP instead of the Swansea University. Factors that bound me to study at UTP are because of the internship program, finance and the culture in the university.

             

             One of the reasons I choose UTP is the internship program that the UTP will provide to students is very fascinating to me. UTP offers a 7 months internship program when we are third year in the degree course. The attractive program is the longest period in Malaysia, some of the university will only gives a program that is less than 5 months. Through the long period program, students can gain a lot of working experiences. The working experiences are very useful to them because they can use the extra knowledge and the experiences in their final year project.

            

               Furthermore, the tuition fee of UTP is moderate and suitable to students. We cannot undertake a big amount of tuition fee. Student can apply for scholarship from Swansea University to support the tuition fee too. Nevertheless, the daily spend at United Kingdom is very large amount of money. Although we save the money for the tuition, the daily spend is much higher than at UTP. UTP is a local university. We can easier to get suit to the breathtaking environment. The transport at UTP is cheaper and more convenience for students to back home during holidays.

           

              Not only that, in UTP I can experience a lot of cultures from other student whose are different in race like Malay, Chinese or Indian. There are also a lot of international student in UTP. They have their own different cultures. The students might not practice their culture when they are studying here but Malaysia is a country full of art of cultures. The local students can experience a lot of cultures in UTP, most of students are from local and they do practice their culture here.

           

              As a conclusion, study in local university is much better than oversea university. Lastly, UTP is a engineering university where will satisfy most of the local students. They will not face finance problems and they can experience the good programs and cultures of the students here. I do hope students who just graduated from their secondary school to choose to study in UTP if they are aiming to become an engineer. UTP will make you satisfied and can provide a good environment for study.
